Carpe Diem Kos

House Rules

Good to have you here. So that everyone feels at home and the house stays the way it is, we ask you for a few things.

Arrival & departure

  • Keys are handed over in person. We live on the ground floor and will welcome you on arrival. During your stay we're right here for any questions.
  • Check-out by 11:00. That leaves enough time to get the apartment ready for the next guests.
  • Leaving later? Possible on request, depending on occupancy. If the second apartment is free and already cleaned, you can move over for €30 and extend your day.

Air conditioning & power

  • A/C only with windows and doors closed. Open windows force the unit to run flat out — it overheats and gets damaged. It also wastes an enormous amount of energy.
  • Everything off when you leave. A/C, lights and appliances such as the TV stay off when nobody is in.

Bathroom

  • Toilet paper can go in the toilet. The pipes are modern. But never sanitary pads, tampons or wet wipes — that's what the bathroom bin is for.

Kitchen

  • Turn the hob off after cooking. And never leave the house with the hob on — fire hazard.
  • Don't leave anything sweet out. Cover food, take organic waste out daily. Otherwise the ants will find you faster than you'd think.

Linen & beach

  • Go easy on the white towels and bed linen. Not for removing make-up, and not right after sunscreen or self-tanner. Permanent stains we have to charge for.
  • Leave the sand outside. No wet swimwear indoors, please, and rinse off sand at the outdoor shower — for the sake of the upholstery.

Quiet hours

  • 23:00 to 08:00. Music, TV and conversation at room volume — on the balcony and terrace too.

Guests

  • Registered guests only. Visitors or overnight stays by people not on the booking aren't allowed, for legal reasons.

Rubbish & keys

  • The bin is in front of the main entrance, right by the road. Please empty regularly, and at the latest before you leave.
  • Lost keys. The lock and replacement keys are then, unfortunately, at the guest's expense.

Thank you — and enjoy your stay.
